They grow their operation a little more each year and currently have 13 acres dedicated just to pumpkins and gourds. Beyond the U-Pick pumpkin patch, they offer a corn maze, live music, and some of the very best food in town! They also have regular events like movie nights and bonfires, so keep an eye on the calendar!

Pumpkin Creek Farms is a family-owned and operated farm dedicated to giving you a little bit of an education throughout each visit. They love working with kids to help them discover how their food goes from the field to the table. Kristin’s Pumpkin Patch has been a family tradition for over 30 years! The farm is completely free to access and gives you all the activities you could possibly want for your perfect fall day. You can come out and get lost in the corn maze or hop aboard a hayride and make your way across the property. They offer both pumpkins and gourds as well as mini varieties of each. There’s even a U-Pick flower garden where you can find some colorful blooms for a DIY bouquet! Just a heads up that when you type in the address, your app will take you to a neighborhood address. Jefferies Orchard is a farm that has been around for over 75 years offering fun to the entire Springfield area! This center offers a bit of everything from pears and apples to pumpkins of all sizes. They take pride in selling the very best produce around, with varieties that will stay fresh long after what you’d find at a box store. Throughout their fall season, they offer pumpkin painting, balloon art, and face painting. You can also check out their annual Apple Fest for the first weekend in October.

Indian Creek Farmstead has over 70 varieties of pumpkins that you can choose from throughout your trip. They also have an authentic patch for people who want to hunt for their own find. The farm offers a yearly kid-friendly fall fest with face painting, costumes, and trunk or treating.

Gail’s Pumpkin Patch over in Beason is an old-fashioned farm with free admission! This estate gives you a few ways to enjoy your time here, whether you are learning about operations on their September Farm Day or petting the adorable animals all across the farm. Their Popcorn Wagon has quickly become a family favorite attraction, giving you the ability to head out into the field and pick your own popcorn that you can cook in the microwave. Their pumpkin patch straddles several acres and gives you over 60 varieties to choose from.

Black Bart’s Pumpkin Patch opens their doors each year toward the end of September and offers tons of ways for your family to have the best day ever! Throughout the weekdays, they offer a variety of activities, including a craft store with refreshments, a corn maze, a grain bin play area, a scarecrow stuffing area, and a giant pirate ship playground where kids can let their imaginations run wild. Once the weekend rolls around, they add hay rides to the mix. The patch starts to sell out toward the end of October, so be sure to check their page before you head out!

Greene Fields Farm opens up at the beginning of each September and brings you a giant pumpkin patch to explore with your crew. The family devotes their entire year to building up the patch so you can have one of the best selections combined with the lowest prices in town! They also offer mums and U-Pick apples. While you’re exploring the fields, you can also meet the animals, play some outdoor games, and get some family pics at the photo boards!

Located in Champaign, Curtis Orchard gives you countless ways to have a day you’ll want to remember forever! This orchard has U-Pick apples, a pumpkin patch, and some seriously delicious food. Your child can hop on the jump pad or race down the inflatable slides before it’s time for a family game of mini-golf. Admission is free, though a few of the attractions are ticketed. Once you’re done exploring here, you can stick around and catch a football game just down the road at U of I!
