Kristin’s Pumpkin Patch is the best spot to get into the fall spirit! This family farm started out in 1995 as a way to pay for Kristin’s college fund (hence the name), but since then, it’s grown in ways they could have never anticipated! While you are here, you can search for your perfect pumpkin, cut fresh flowers from the garden, and of course, hang out in the corn maze. As you weave through the rows, you’ll have plenty of photo ops with your crew! 

Bomke’s Patch

605 Country Lake Rd, Springfield, Illinois 62711

Bomke’s Patch is a family-owned property that started out as a Christmas tree farm. Today, they do a little bit of everything, starting out in autumn. Each year, they grow a themed corn maze where you can explore with your loved ones. They open their doors each weekend so you can come out, dance to some live music, pick a pumpkin from the patch, and hang out with some adorable animals! Once you’re done with the corn maze, be sure to head over to the barn for some donuts and apple cider slushies. 

Pumpkin Creek Farms

7392 Barclay Road, Sherman, Illinois 62684

Pumpkin Creek Farms was started as a way to help local kids reconnect with where the food on their plate comes from. There is so much for families to do while you’re here. Kids are going to love racing down giant slides or trying to pull a tractor. Their corn maze is one of the biggest attractions, offering over 7.5 acres to explore. They offer both an easy path and a difficult path, so you can find the option that’s best for you.

Richardson Adventure Farm

909 English Prairie Rd, Spring Grove, Illinois 60081

If you are looking for a true challenge, Richardson Adventure might just be your spot. This is one of the largest corn mazes in the area, giving you 28 acres of live corn. Each year, they choose a different theme and go all out. In the end, you’ll be left with 9-10 miles (yes, MILES!) of trails to explore. Sound too intense? Don’t worry, they have something for all ages with 4 smaller mazes featuring checkpoints throughout. You will be able to choose your level of difficulty, or you can try them all out! 

Rader Family Farms

1312 Ropp Rd, Normal, Illinois 61761

Rader Family Farms is another space that puts all their focus on their corn maze. They get started in early June, using GPS technology to carefully construct eight acres of fun. They also let you decide how you want to navigate. If you aren’t too concerned with a challenge, you will be able to scan a QR code at the beginning, and it will update where you are via shared location. There will be multiple check-ins throughout, plus there’s a few bridges so you can check on your progress. You can choose how much you wish to complete, giving you up to 60 minutes of adventure. 

Indian Creek Farmstead

19468 Curtis Blacktop Road, Petersburg, Illinois 62675

Indian Creek Farmstead is a quaint farm located on 120 acres in Central Illinois. This is a space where you can find all kinds of adventures, from their petting zoo to their grain train wagon rides. Their Milo Maze is always a crowd favorite, with 2 acres available to explore. The course is pretty easy, so kids of all ages can have a great time. As you explore, you’ll have access to an observation deck so you can check on your progress while enjoying gorgeous countryside views!

Ackerman Family Farms

27158 US-150, Morton, Illinois 61550

Ackerman Family Farms works on a corn maze every year that will give your family the perfect fall activity. They open their doors on Labor Day, selling pumpkins as well as local canned goods. You can come out, see some adorable animals, purchase mums for your front porch, and then head out to their corn maze. The maze is pretty easy to navigate, and you’ll get some great family photo opportunities along the way!  

Curtis Orchard

3902 S. Duncan Road, Champaign, Illinois 61822

Located in nearby Champaign, Curtis Orchard is a bit of an original. This family farm has been around since 1977, offering unforgettable memories for your entire crew! While their apple orchards might be the thing that earned them their reputation, their mazes remain a local fave. You will have four options so you can find the best one for your family. The center also offers a giant slide, goats and bunnies, air cannons, face painting, and more. 

Schaefer Pumpkin Patch

Schaefer Pumpkin Patch is a pet-friendly farm that has something for all ages. As your family explores the area, your child will be able to race rubber ducks or go for a ride in the barrel train. They offer mini golf, hay rides, slides, and a pretty adorable petting zoo. Throughout the warmer months, their covered hay bale maze is ideal for toddlers and preschoolers. Then, once the cooler months arrive, your entire group can go out and navigate the winding corn maze. Once you’re done, you can head over to the concession stand for some pretty delicious snacks, including apple cider slushies.
